Pulwama Police Recovers 9.75Kgs of contraband charas powder in Newa

Pulwama January 26, : Acting on specific information received through reliable sources, Police Post Newa conducted a successful operation in Sheikh Mohalla, Newa, leading to the recovery of a substantial quantity of contraband substances.

 

Police spokesman told in a statement that during the operation, a police team was deputed to the residence of Mehraj Din Sheikh, son of Ali Mohammad Sheikh, a resident of Newa. Upon searching a store situated within the premises of his residential property, two nylon sacks containing 4.950 kgs and 4.800 kgs of charas powder-like substance, totaling 9.75 kgs were recovered.

 

Consequently, a case under FIR No. 22/25 under section 8/20 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Pulwama, and further investigation into the matter has been initiated.
