65-Year-Old Mumbai Tourist Dies of Heart Attack in Gulmarg

Tangmarg, January 23: A 65-year-old tourist from Mumbai, identified as J.N. Jaswal, passed away due to a heart attack while visiting the second phase of the Gulmarg Gondola, one of Kashmir’s most popular tourist destinations.

 

The incident occurred earlier today as Jaswal experienced a sudden medical emergency at the high-altitude location, situated at over 12,000 feet above sea level. He was immediately shifted to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tangmarg, where doctors declared him brought dead.

 

BMO Tangmarg confirmed the cause of death as a heart attack. Efforts are underway to coordinate with the deceased’s family in Mumbai to arrange the necessary formalities.

 

The tragic incident highlights the potential health risks for visitors to high-altitude areas and serves as a reminder for tourists to take precautions, especially those with pre-existing medical conditions.
